Yes, some polycarbonate lenses are said that they can block almost all of the UV present in direct sunlight, which can protect the eyes from UV radiation, that's right why most high quality sunglasses are made of polycarbonate. What's more, polycarbonate has an "SPF" rating, so you can trust that polycarbonate lens can prevent UV rays.

Well, yes, they can protect your eyes from uv rays. So you do not need to worry about it. And they can be the perfect lenses for your choice. First, you should know that Polycarbonate lenses are safer and thinner, lighter than traditional type lenses. Also, Polycarbonate lenses offers you total protection from UV light and radiations, which can be harmful for the eyes. So you do not need worry about the rays when you go outsides. But on the other hand, ordinary plastic offers you minimum protection from UV light. So in my opinion, I will just suggest you choose Polycarbonate lenses.

Yes, the polycarbonate lenses could provide 100% UV protection. Polycarbonate is tough and multifunctional material, which can be used for from bullet proof production to compact discs. It is much thinner and lighter than other normal-materialized lenses. Besides it is as 10 times as impact-resist than plastic lenses. As to eye safety, it is always the number one choice for eyeglasses, sports eyewears and sunglasses. It could provide the fully protection for eyes from damages of sunrays. So many doctors would recommend it to the patients. It is especially suitable lenses for children, monocular patients, industrial workers and athletes. Although it has so many benefits, it still has some shortcomings as well. For example, it is not so clear to see through polycarbonate lenses. It might cause some chromatic aberration, and it is easily scratched.

Polycarbonate lenses are up to 10 times more impact-resistant than plastic or glass lenses and they provide 100% protection from the sun's harmful UV rays.
