You can't control your eyes which will twitch with no control. You may have the eyes infection. There may be the invisible bacterium in your eyes. You could use the eye drops with anti-inflammation to make your eyes become bright and clear. You could also do the warm compress to make your eyes feel comfortable.

It should be eye spasm or blepharospasm in another name, referring to unbitted episodic fast contraction of muscle around eyes. It is defined as abnormal involuntarily blink or muscle spasm. In most cases, it is occasional problem, which is not serious, coming and leaving naturally, most with eye irritation. Many people experienced such condition some time in a life, possiblly triggered by excessive exposure to strong light or eye strain from prolonged working time. Other reasons include alcohol, caffeine, neurological disorders, axiety, poor sleeping or even heredity. Have a healthy and good life with adequate sleeping. Relaxation and being more positive and optimistic can effectively alleviate minor spasm. If it is a chronic syndrome, a surgery might be recommended to remove some muscles and nerves of the eyelids.

Are you under stress? Or are you lack of sleep? Or are you intaking a great amount of caffeine or alcohol? Or perhaps you have strained your eyes by watching tv for a long time or spending too much time on computers. Besides, you may suffer from a lack of certain nutritional substances, such as magnesium. Those who experience allergies or infection can also develop eye twitches as a response of irritation due to smoke, dust or a foreign body in the eye. Usually, eye twitches come and go on its own and are not that serious. But you should alert the serious conditions such as stroke, dystonia, tardive dyskinesia, Tourette's syndrome, that affect the brain and central nervous system. If your eye twitches are lasting, you had better contact your doctor to determine the underlying cause and to receive certain treatment. Wish you better.
