Well, of course no. It will not make you blind. According to some researches, dog poop does not make you blind, but the worm eggs can cause blindness if someone touches the eggs, and then rubs their eyes, for the lava will migrate into the eye. And then that can be dangerous for your eyes. In common it is very rare, but it can happen. So just be careful. Besides, it is actually more likely for a similar thing to happen with cat poop, as cats hide their poop in soil. Anyway, just pay more attention to it.

Since you have the dog poop in your eyes by accident, you should wash the eyes clearly as soon as possible. Then you could make some warm compress to make the eyes feel comfortable. This will not cause you to go blind. You just need to wash the eyes carefully and do the after period protection. That will be OK. Don't be afraid too much.

Ok,so sorry to hear that, dog poop contains a lot of bacteria, irritative substances, even virus, which might give rise to a lot of problems such as infections, discomfort, red eyes, watery eyes, and so forth. However, it is not that powerful to make you blind. Nevertheless, it also requires timely and thorough treatment. Just try to wash your eyes with plenty of normal saline, and get some antibiotic eye drops. If the situation is serious, just get some treatment in the hospital. Good luck.

I was away from my dog for longer than a week due to weather. I had someone going by to feed everyday. When I finally got home I was shocked to find him covered in dog poop. It was even in his eyes. I immediately cleaned him up and noticed his eyes were very red and that his breathing was not exactly labored but kinda raspy-ish. I managed to get it out of his eyes hopefully. What, if any dangers is he in and can I do anything to help him?
