At what age is it best to have lasik surgery?

I want to have lasik surgery to improve my vision. I don't want to wear glasses any more. But the doctor said I am too young to have lasik surgery. So at what age is it best to have lasik surgery?

FDA is not approved for anyone under the age of 18 to have lasik surgery. So the ideal age is at least 18 years old. However, most doctors recommend that patients should be at least 21 years old to have lasik surgery. Because their vision usually change during the teen years and even into early adulthood.

It is better to have lasik surgery around 20 and make sure your vision has been stable for at least 2 years. If your prescription is still changing, it is useless to have lasik surgery.
