what home remedy can I apply for sore eyes?

I had sore eyes last night which was infected from my brother. I'm taking anti-inflammatory drops as instructed by my doctor. How long will the sore eyes last and what home remedy can I do to reduce the redness and itchiness?

Close your eyes and place chilled cucumber slices on your eyes for a few minutes, which may help you reduce the redness and itchiness. Or you can wash your eyes with cold water several times a day and insert some artificial eye drops, then close your eyes for a while, which will also relieve from sore eye.

There is no much useful home remedy for you. You can try to wash the with cold water to relieve the pain and itch. Avoid computer and television and sleep more.
