Can one have astigmatism without having myopia?

    Myopia also called nearsightedness means one have difficulty seeing far. Astigmatism is an irregular contour of the cornea, not being round, causing distorted vision. They can occur alone or together. The degree of cornea irregularity and length of eye determine how strong a prescription lens your eye needs.

    Sure,it is possible for one to have astigmatism without myopia.There is not a connection between them.Often they don't occur together and most people have myopia without astigmatism.
