Is papaya good for your eyes?

I love eating papaya very much and my friends told me that papaya can be very good for my eyes. Really? How come?

    Yes, papaya is good for the eyes. Papaya contain beta-carotene,carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin. So, taking some papaya is good for eye health. As we know that Lutein and zeaxanthin is essential for eyes to prevent from the macular region of our eyes. By taking more papaya, it can help people prevent from cataracts, glaucoma, and other chronic eye diseases etc. Besides, it can also protect eyes from blue light that might be hurt retina in our eyes.
