Honey mainly consists of fructose and glucose, and contains some microscale vitamins such as vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, C, D and so on, which depends on the species of the bees, the sources of honey, and the environment. Taking moderate amount of honey can be good to your health, while its function in fighting against the cataracts is still up to be researched. To fight against cataracts in the way of daily diet, you can take in those foods which are rich in vitamin C and carotene. This is because that the vitamin C can prevent the forming of cataracts and decrease the damage of the lights and oxygen to the crystalline lenses. If there is an insufficiency of vitamin C in your body, then the crystalline lenses can easily get degenerated and muddy which can lead to cataracts. Therefore, you can eat more potatoes, spinach, onions, celery cabbages, strawberries, oranges, and other fresh vegetables.
