  Your eyes feel gritty, tender or tired, that's because you get sore eyes. Sore eyes could be caused by many problems, such as rubbing eyes, tiredness, a cold and so on. It's hard to say you got a cold for you got sore eyes, because there are many causes of sore eyes. But, if you have other symptoms of a cold, such as sore throat, mucus n your nose, that means you definitely got a cold.

  Yes, a cold could probably cause sore eyes. A cold is the respiratory diseae caused by various virus infection. The common symptoms of a cold include runny nose, stuffy head, nasal cavity congestion, coughing and fever. It is possible to have sore eyes accompanied with a cold, yet I can't tell it is a symtom of a cold. Coughing and sneezing can easily spread the virus to eyes, which causes sore eyes. This is why some patients experienced sore eyes with a cold at the same time. To treat the sore eyes caused by virus infection, you can apply warm compress and wash you eyes with the saline water, which works effectively.

  Yes, the sore eyes may be the symptom of cold because of the declined immune system. Once you get cold, you will easily get dry eyes which may cause the sore symptom. You need to use the eyes drops to release the eyes. In addition, you could also use the warm compress to make your eyes get moisture.
