Actually, the mucus should be absorbed by the cornea in the eyes during the sleep which keep the balance of the eyes. I don't think your producing the mucus from the eyes is normal. Your eyes may get infection and inflammation from the coming bacterium. You'd better go to see the doctor and check on the eyes. Your situation is not normal. You should go to the hospital as soon as possible.

Well, generally speaking, you should know that it is normal for many people to have eye mucus. And some researches have showed that eye mucus occurs when the external eye structures become irritated, triggering an inflammatory response. And according to some experts, bacterial eye infections, allergies and abnormal tear production or content can provoke the formation of eye mucus. So you should pay more attention to the bacteria and the irritants around you. So that it can avoid the eye mucus. By the way, dry eye syndrome can be the cause too. As we know that when you have dry eyes, your eyes fail to make sufficient tears or produce tears that evaporate too quickly, causing dryness of the eye surface. And then it leads to eye mucus. Anyway, if you have some problems about it, just go and see the doctor.
