I disagree with walgreensunder, I personally have gotten eye floaters after dehydration and after drinking about half a cup of water I they disappear. I realized this when I went to the optomatrist and told him about the 3 eye floaters in my eye. He told me how they were caused and to relax my eyes. I didn't know what to do after that. They wouldn't go away. 2 days later a weird rainbow projection came into my eye, and I didn't know what that was, but I knew it wasn't good. So I thought of things I haven't done in a while, and one of them was drink water because I forgot to buy month. After drinking water they all vanished. This hasn't only happened once. Every time I don't drink water for 2 days an eye floater will pop into my eye. I ended up finding this thread because I wanted to see if people knew about it, or was I the only one. So I have had experience with this, and I can confirm that dehydration does cause eye floaters.

Prof. Walsh from Bangor University in the UK has just published his report into researching the link between dehydration and Dry Eye Syndrome - so it seems that there is more to hydration than meets the eye.

Yeah, the dehydration can cause the floaters in the eyes. Usually the ones with floaters in the eyes is caused by a lot of time using on the computers which make the eyes feel dry. Thus you'd better keep your body be full of water, never lack of water. If you get the eye floater, you must add water for your body by eating more food with vitamin C.

Dehydration has no effect on eye floaters. Eyestrain can result in floaters. Have your eyes relaxed, it will get heal after several days. While crystal diseases can also cause floaters. You should go to hospital and have your eyes checkup. Here are tips can relax your eyes: 1. Proper light. 2. Have appropriate rest. 3. Hot compress. 4. Blink eyes frequently, which can moisten your eyes to prevent dryness and irritation. For dehydration, you must drink enough water under the doctor’s advice. For floater, go outside and do exercise, like jogging, to boost your natural immunity. Do not forget to bring a bottle of water while exercise!
