Can i wear contacts while tanning?

Tanning is really a good way to relax. Most of people prefer to wear sunglasses while tanning. But is it OK if I wear contact lenses when I am tanning?

Yes, you can. Although there is no danger for the contacts to melt under the high temperature of sun, the eyes will feel dry under the sunshine. And it is suggested not to wear contact lenses often in summer for the prevention from the infection by parasite. You'd better wear the sunglasses while tanning, just like most people do. Sunglasses will not only protect your eyes under the sunshine but also make you enjoy your tanning by avoiding the strong sunlight.

It is not suggested to wear contacts lenses while tanning. If you really want contact lenses, it is ok. But your eyes are in high risks. The reason why you shouldn't wear contact while tanning is because the heat can cause your contacts to dry out. If your contacts dry out, it may make you difficult to remove the contacts. Sometimes, the dry contact lenses will become hard and torn your cornea. From this point, you'd better not wear contacts while tanning.

It is not so good to wear contacts while tanning because you will feel your eyes are so dry, especially in summer. And the moisture in your eyes will be lost soon under sunshine for a long time. However, your contacts need the water too much, which will make your eyes uncomfortable. If you have to wear, i would like to suggest you to bring the eye drops in order to keep your eyes watery, but you cannot often use this way.
