Bifocal and multifocal contact lenses are classified by their functions. Bifocal contact lenses are like bifocal eyeglasses which can only for myopia patients or presbyopia patients for correcting the vision problems. However, many people suffer both myopia and presbyopia, especially many old people. People with both myopia and presbyopia have a problem that they have to change the glasses once they want to see far distance after seeing near distance. Multifocal glasses solve this problem. So people wear a pair of multifocal contact lenses can see clearly near and far.
