Why aspheric contacts are better than regular ones?

When I was choosing contacts at the store, the people there strongly recommended aspheric contacts. They said they were much better than regular ones. I wonder what the advantage of aspheric contact lens?

Aspheric contact lenses are commonly prescribed for people who have borderline astigmatism. These contacts are smaller and slimmer than average contacts, and this is part of why they're referred to as "premium," and as such have a higher price than regular contact lenses.

Aspheric contact lenses are prescription lenses for people with borderline astigmatism. Compared to regular contacts, they are much slimmer and flatter. So they are usually more expensive than regular contacts.
