What is the highest nearsightedness power one can have for LASIK surgery?

I have pretty high prescription which is over -12 and I wonder if I am qualified for Lasik surgery.

    It depends on many factors, the thickness of your cornea, your pupil size, the prescripotion of your eyes.

    If your prescription is very high while your cornea is very thin, then you shouldn't have lasik surgery because high prescription need more tissue to be ablated.

    Normally people with -12 prescription can also have lasik surgery,but the doctor need to check the thickness of your cornea and other things such as pupil size,eye pressure etc to make sure you are a good candidate for surgery..
