  It's very necessary for to wear sunglasses when going out. There are special sunglasses for people with low vision. Ordinary sunglasses can help reducing glare, but you need something to enhance contrast. Normally, colored sunglasses will make things darker, and may even help reduce glare. But they usually don't help to enhance contrast, which is extremely important to a person with low vision. But, there are some specific colors that can both reducing glare and also enhancing contrast. Yellow colored sunglasses may be very helpful for you in a cloudy day. Amber, amber/orange, or dark plum colored sunglasses may be very helpful in a sunny day. Remember that grey sunglasses generally do not help to enhance contrast, and may actually reduce contrast.
