Why do I have blurry vision after taking out my monovision contact lens?

I have been wearing one contact lens for 4 months and it is a bifocal lens. I can see well with them. But when I go home and take them out, everything is blurry. I wonder if my eye is ruined by just wearing one contact.

If your lens fitting is right, you don't have to worry about it. It is only the problem of reorientation of your focusing system. As your eye already get used to the monovision contact lens, when you take it out, the eye need to find the focus by itself and cause blurry vision. So you may take to goggles after removing contact lens to help regain the focus quickly.
