Eye pressure can be connected with ocular hypertension or glaucoma which often attacks people over 40. You should see your eye doctor right now because eye pressure can be a very dangerous eye problem which can make you blind. Your eye doctor will give you some eye drops such as beta blockers or carbonic anhydrase inhibitors which are used to lower eye pressure. If the prescribed eye drop do not work, your doctor will prescribe oral medicines like carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. While taking medicines, remember not to drink much water at a time for this will make your eye pressure increase a lot. Still, the last way of treating eye pressure is laser surgery which has the most direct and effective effect. Another suggestion is to exercise regularly and this can help lower eye pressure.

It may sounds strange, but the truth is obesity really increases eye pressure in eyes, but it does not mean that diet can reduce eye pressure. So diet cannot be listed as a way to reduce pressure in eyes. Omega 3 has a prominent effect on lowing eye pressure. You just need to receive oral omega-3 dietary supplementation consisting of two 1000-mg capsules 3 times a day, eye pressure can be controlled. Doing exercise does the same work as omega-3.
