Is it bad for people with minor short sight to wear glasses all the time?

My daughter has been prescribed glasses for minor short sight. The doctor told her to wear glasses only when she need look at the white board at school and watch television. But she always forgets to take them off and wear them all the time. Is it bad for her eyes?

No. Wearing glasses all the time won't do harm to their eyesight as long as the glasses are prescribled for them exactly. Glasses won't make the vision better or worse, they just help see better. If you have no problem with your glasses on all the time, you don't have to take them off. On the contrary, you will get blurry vision when you see far away without glasses. And it is vey inconvenient to often put them on and take them off.

Don't worry, it won't cause any damages to her. Since the eyeglasses are made according to her prescription, wearing it can do nothing harm but give her clear vision. And eyeglasses are just device to help people see clear. They neither cure vision problem nor make vision problems more worse. But, if she always wearing glasses, she may used to the eyeglasses and unwilling take it off.
