  Color blindness is a term that using to describe people who have troubles seeing red, green, or blue or a mix of these colors. And in most cases, color blindness is inherited from parents. Most of people are born with color blindness. Nevertheless, there are some people who may suffer blindness in their latter life. And generally speaking, eye injury, glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, or diabetic retinopathy can also be the causes of color blindness.

  Yes, it is possible for you to get color blindness due to the diabetes for the cones near diabetes cause macular function to be impaired and cones the main visual and color vision. Although we know that the color blindness are mainly born to be for the genetic genes like the chromosome, we still know that the color blindness could be caused by the damage of the eyes, mainly in retinal. The diabetes will have a lot of side effects on the eyes. Once you get the diabetes, your eyes may easily dry with low immune system. You'd better not wear the contact lenses which will increase the eyes pressure. At the same time, the eyes will get infection easily. You'd better eat more food with vitamin C to moisture the eyes to make the eyes feel comfortable. You should have good rest for the eyes to let them feel good.
