Does a detached retina cause eye pain?

Is it painful when someone suffered from detached retina? How can i tell if i got detached retina? Any sign of it?

    Detached retina is easy to cause retinal off, especially high myopia. Besides, As time progresses, vitreous and retinal of the eyes produce pull force, it can also cause the detached retina. The patients who have retinal detachment will actually get eye pain, and there are some signs of it else. Your vision might become blurry, or you might have poor vision. Another sign is seeing a shadow or a curtain descending from the top of the eye or across from the side. If you experience any of the signs, consult a professional eye doctor as far as possible. Immediate treatment decrease the risk of the damage to eyes.

    No, detached retinal won't cause eye pain. In fact, it is painless. And the symptoms of retinal detachment often occurs before it happen. In detail, people may suffer a sudden flashes of light in the eyes, a shadow or curtain over a portion of your visual field before they got a detached retina. Whats more, they may also notice eye floaters and feel darkening of their peripheral (side) vision.
