Wearing contact lenses at night is harmful to our eyes, so you'd better not do that. Our eyes need relax after the whole day wearing of lenses. Just like our stomach needs to be almost empty before sleep, otherwise it'll harm our stomach. The theory is the same with every organ of our body. Contact lenses don't belong to our body, and they are foreign matter after all. And they may cause a lot of eye problem, such as eye strain, red eyes, dry eyes, even more serious eye infections. You'd better take off contact lenses before sleep.

Well, in my opinion, you should not wear contact lenses at night. And if you really do that, it will just make your eyes infected. First, you should know that contact lenses are made of plastic, and if you wear them at night, it will just be the irritants in your eyes. Also, it can bring some virus in your eyes, leading to eye infection. And contact lenses are applied directly in your eyes, and it will not make your eyes breath. So that can be dangerous. Anyway, you need to take off your contact lenses, and have some clean with solution.

No, it is not good and you'd better not do that. First, wearing contact lenses will set up a barrier in your eyes, so it will reduce the amount of oxygen received by the cornea of the eye, which will lead to the risk of getting serious eye infections. Second, getting microbial keratitis is possible if you wear lenses at night, and this may also result in corneal scarring and even blindness. Third, if you do not take off your contact lenses ta night, the cleaning will be a problem and bacteria has a place to grow, which will be dagerious to your eyes. So, take off your contact lenses ta night and give your eyes some rest!

The cornea receives oxygen from the air when you are awake, but when you are asleep, it gets nourishment and lubrication from tears and a gelatinous fluid called the aqueous humor. If there's a contact lens in your eye when you're sleeping, then "the contact lens acts as a barrier between the closed eyelid and the cornea, and it's fairly tight over the surface of the corne. When you're awake, the contact lens is actually supposed to move a bit about a millimeter of movement with every blink in order to allow the cornea to get oxygen. But when you're sleeping with your contacts in, the contact lens is unable to move because your eyes aren't blinking. And then there's the issue of infection. Any microscopic abrasions to the cornea, which can be caused by contact with the back surface of the contact lenses, can become infected by bacteria or parasites. These microorganisms can get in our eyes from the contact lenses themselves,or from water, even when it's safe for drinking.
