Blepharitis is a disorder of meibormium glands of eyelids. This kind of glands are responsible for lipids producing which can lubricate eyes. Yet, as to blepharitis, the glands are inflammed and get blocked. So the common symptoms of blepharitis are eye dryness, irritation, redness, soreness and itching. It occurs on the eyelid margin, normally caused by eye fatigue, bacterial infection transmitted by hands while rubbing eyes, food allergies, or chemical irritations, for example mascara. If any frequent recurrent sty, then the patient should take diabetes examinations. Yet as to eczema, it is called dermatitis as well, a general term of various skin inflammation. It could happen on many parts of body, legs, arms or hands, which is totally different from blepharitis. And dermatitis gives the patient with dry and red skin, itching or burning. Its appearance varies from person to person. You can see they are totally different type of skin inflammation. There is no way to mix them.
