Of course they are different. (1) Different parts of eyes. Conjunctiva is a thin and transparent film that covers the insides of eyelids and the whites of the eyes. It can lubricate eyeballs. While blepharitis is at the margins of the eyelids and the roots of the eyelashes. (2) Different pathogenesis. Conjunctivitis, also known as pink eye, is due to infection, allergy or injury of eyes. Blepharitis is inflammation of the eyelid, usually from bacterial colonization. (3) Different treatment. Pink eye is common, most of which can be recovery by themselves. Blepharitis is more serious. Some patients would have loss of vision or other severe symptoms. You should contact your doctor asap. A warm compress can make your eyes feel better before you get a contact with your doctor.

Well, of course, they are different from each other. First, conjunctivitis, known as pink eye, is a bacterial infection caused by Staphylococcus or Streptococcus bacteria. In common, when it occurs, it will just lead to some symptoms in your eyes. For example, your eyes will turn to red, also itchy. And according to some experts, it is very contagious. On the other hand, Blephariti is inflammation usually involving the part of the eyelid where the eyelashes grow. Because of it, your eyes can eventually become red, irritated and itchy. And in some cases, when the small oil glands near the base of the eyelashes don't work properly, it can be possible too. Double vision and blurred vision can be the common symptoms. So you should be careful about it.

Of course, conjunctivitis is different from blepharitis. Conjunctivitis is an inflammation of the outer layer of the eye and the inner surface of the eyelid. It is most commonly caused by infection from viruses or bacteria, allergies, other irritants such as overexposure to sun, wind, smog or contact lens solution. However, blepharitis is a chronic inflammation of the eyelid and it is caused by a bacterial infection. Furthermore, those who suffer conjunctivitis manifest such symptoms such as red eyes, swelling of conjunctiva and watering of the eyes while symptoms that are associated with the blepharitis are itching, irritation and burning sensation, redness of the eyelids, flaking of skin on the lids, crusting at the lid margins, cysts at the lid margin, red eye, gritty sensation of the eye and reduced vision.
