It takes a long time to remove blepharitis, usually months or years, because blepharitis is a chronic condition and is difficult to cure, but the proper treatment can reduce the symptoms and control the condition. To treat blepharitis, you need to keep good eyelid hygiene first of all. You can apply warm compresses over your eyelids for five minutes to loosen crusts and oil debris. Or you can use a washcloth with cleaning solution mixed with baby shampoo and warm water to rub the base of the eyelashes so as to clear away the crusts. If your condition does not improve, you should ask your doctor to prescribe antibiotic pills or steroid eye drops for you.

Well, in common, it will just take about one week for your situation to recover. And first, you should know that blephariti is inflammation which is related with the eyelid. And because of it, your eyes can result in many eye diseases. For example, your eyes can become red, irritated and itchy. And having some treatments can just relieve your symptoms and then, it can recover in one week. For example, you can just try some warm compresses which can reduce the inflammation, and it will recover soon. Also, you should remember that avoiding wearing contacts and eye makeup can be effective too.
