It sounds awful! I can't imagine how painful you must be at that time. It might cause tearing, redness of eyes, blurry vision, and sensitivity to light. Leaving it without treatment might lead to even more worse conditions even vision loss finally. The first thing to do, of course, is to wash your eyes continuously with cold running water. The burning sensation might last longer. If you got severe pain in eyes and serious vision problem, even got high temperature in a sudden, I suggest you to see your oculist, after all damages to eyes might make your vision lost for ever. If it is not so serious, apply some cold compress might help you relieve the pain and burning. I once got hot oil in eyes that I was afraid that the cells in my eyes would be killed by the hot oil. Yet finally it seems that no severe vision problem left. So don’t worry too much.
