Can rosacea cause dry eyes?

Is it possible to feel dry eyes because of rosacea? why or why not?

Yes, it is very possible to feel dryness of eyes because of rosacea. Rosacea is a very common skin condition which mainly affects the people over 30 years old. If you have rosacea, you might have redness on your nose, chin, forehead and cheeks. It is quite possible for some of the rosacea patients to have bumps and pimples on the red parts, which is really bad for lookings. It can also make you feel eyes dry and burning. So far there is proved evidence to show what caused rosacea, yet it seems to run in families. In the past we thought rosacea was caused by drinking too much alcohol, which has been proved to be wrong. But as to people with rosacea, drinking alcohol could make the symptom go worse. So it seems difficult for me to explain why rosacea can make people feel eyes dry, which is obviously an symptom of this condition. Meanwhile there is no cure to rosacea. If the situation is really bad, you can go to doctor, and proper treatment the symptom can be control from going worse.

Yes, it is possible for you to feel the dry eyes because of rosacea which may cause the face skin to have the dehydration. Your dry eyes may cause other eyes problems if you don't treat them well. You could use the eye drops to release the symptom. You could also eat more food with vitamin C to moisture the eyes.

The cause of rosacea will be induced by vasomotor disorder, cysticercus repeated infection, drinking, mental stress, rage, dyshormonism. It would also induce the blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis or iriditis. The sympotom of it will be dry eyes, foreign body sensation, tears, photophoby and blur vision. The dry eye is the common term of xerosis of conjunctiva. It's the eyes symptom of tear film's pathological change, thus the cornea and conjunctiva without normal moist and feel dry. It will lead to blurred vision in a long time. The reasons of the cause of dry eyes could be inflammation and immune system abnormal as well as lack of vitamin A. The two former reason may caused by infection, while the last one is caused by the nutrient condition. From the above words we can see, feel dry eyes may be caused by various kinds of reasons, one of it is rosacea, but not the only reason.
