There are some good home remedies for the swollen eyes due to the insect bite. You could do the cold compress to make the swelling eyes get released. You could also adopt some fresh oil essential around the eyes to get it released. In addition, you could use the tea bag to cover on the eyes to let the swollen eyes get released.

Apply an ice pack to a bite or sting for 15 to 20 minutes once an hour for the first 6 hours. When not using ice, keep a cool, wet cloth on the bite or sting for up to 6 hours. Always keep a cloth between your skin and the ice pack. Do not apply ice for longer than 15 to 20 minutes at a time. Do not fall asleep with ice on your skin. Moreover, elevate the area of the bite or sting to decrease swelling. Try a nonprescription medicine for the relief of itching, redness, and swelling.

Firstly, you can mix a teaspoon of vinegar with the same quantity of ice water. And you can put a piece of soft cloth into the mixture and place it to the skin around the eye area. It is a good way to relieve the itching and swelling. Another effective way is applying a bead of toothpaste on the swelling skin around the eyes. And put an ice cube on the top of toothpaste to hold it until the itching goes away. Additionally, you can use anti-itch creams and lotions that include calamine and Benadryl to the swelling eye area.

The first thing for you is examining the eye carefully in the mirror. Make sure that there no part of the bug is in the skin, if there is and you can grasp it with a tweezers to pull it out, do so. If not, go to a doctor immediately and have him do it. Then determine how much of the swelling is on the eye and how much is either above it or below. Now it comes to the remedy session. Take a dose of allergy medication that has Benadryl or diphenhydramine hydrochloride. The other more convenient stuff is vinegar. Mix a teaspoon of vinegar with a tablespoon of ice water. Dip the edge of a very clean soft cloth into the mixture and apply to the skin around the eye. This should relieve the itching and start to take the swelling down. Good luck!
