Blepharitis is inflammation of the rims of the eyelids which causes them to become red and swollen. There are a few possible causes for Blepharitis, the most common ones are acne rosacea, seborrheic blepharitis allergies or sensitivities to substances that come into contact with the lid margins like mascara, eye liners and contact lens solutions- some airborne allergens are even known to cause Blepharitis. In most cases, it is caused by the malfunction of the tiny oil glands located near the base of the eyelids, where the eyelashes grow. From the facts mentioned above, we can say that wearing too much of contact lenses won't lead to blepharitis.
