It is possible that macular degeneration develops into retinal detachment. Macular degeneration is often aroused by aging of eye nerves. It often happens to people around 50. If people do not may enough attention to the degeneration, it can turn into more serious disease. Retinal detachment is one of them. But there are tips to prevent and treat the disease. First of all, the most important tip is to find it early and treat it early. If surgery may be taken right after retinal detachment happens, macular degeneration could have the opportunity to recover and eyesight may recover to the level before diseases occurs. But if retinal detachment happens for too long without treatment, even successful surgery is taken, there still be permanent damage. In general, the shorter the detachment happens, the better the recovery is. For prevent of retinal detachment, you shall keep your eyes away from too much violent stimulation, such as strong lights. Do not use your eyes too much. Make it rest at proper time.

Well, generally speaking, there is no relation between Macular degeneration and retinal detachment. As we know that Macular degeneration, which referred to as AMD (age-related macular degeneration), is the leading cause of blindness in individuals over the age of 65.people who have this disease, may experience anything from a blurry, gray or distorted area to a blind spot in the center of vision. Also, there are many possible risk factors including genetics, age, diet, smoking and sunlight exposure. So just be careful about it. But on the other hand, you should know that there are many factors which can lead to retinal detachment, such as eye injury, severe high blood pressure. To prevent it, you should not do some serious exercises and pay more attention to your eyes. But most people with detached retina risk factors will not develop a detached retina. And it is possible that people without risk factors will develop a retinal detachment.
