Yes. lutein is an important nutrition to eyes. They can protect your eyes from UV rays and other reflective light from lights etc. Besides, enough lutein can aslo prevent cataracts and slow down the process of age related macular degeneration. And you can gain lutein from corn, egg, pumpkin, Lycium bararum and dark green vegetable etc. Hope this help you.

Yes. Lutein can help you lower your risk for AMD; it can be found on leafy green foods such as kale, turnip greens, collards, spinach, broccoli, lettuce, Brussels sprouts. Lutein from these foods is absorbed and transported in relatively large quantities to the macula and the lens of the eye. Other compounds recommended for best eye health include Zeaxanthin and Meso-Zeaxanthin; both are compounds called carotenoids; while Zeaxanthin can be found in nature, Meso-Zeaxanthin is created in the retina from ingested lutein. These three carotenoids have important antioxidant functions in the body and guard it from damaging effects of unstable molecules (also called free radicals) and light-induced oxidative damage that can lead to AMD. Macuhealth nutritional supplements with LMZ3 contain all three carotenoids found in the macula and extensive research has shown it to restore macular to normal pigment levels (a 40% increase in MP over a 6 month period).

Yes, it will do a good job to macular degeneration. According to a study, Lutein is a pigment that you can find in many foods. Your body cannot produce it, so a certain dietary intake or daily supplement will be a good way to protect your eyes, especially for some people who have macular degeneration problem. The reason is that the macula, an area of tissue on the back of your eye, contains lutein deposits, and the presence of lutein, along with its antioxidant properties, promote eye health. Maybe you should pay more attention to it.

Definitely yes, it can do that. Macular degeneration could cause loss of central vision because of aging. As we all known, carotenoids, including lutein and zeaxanthin are important for our eye health. Lutein is a organic pigment natually occurring plant pigments in chloroplasts and chromoplasts. It plays an essential role in protecting the macula and central vision. Unlike plants, we could only get lutein from our diet instead synthesize it alone. Dark green leafy vegetables like spinach, broccoli are rich in both zeaxanthin and lutein. Corn and eggs are also contain them as well. So it's crucial to have plenty of carotenoids in your diet.

The lutein really helps slow down the macular degeneration. Lutein in nature is the corn flavin common existence. It is constituted of a corn of fruits, vegetables, flowers and other plant pigment main components, including in the chloroplasts of leaves. It will absorb the light energy and transfer to chlorophyll. It plays a protective role which also constitutes the human eye macula lutea area which is the main pigment. It can moisture the eyes by increasing the lots of nutrients. However, the macular degeneration is often caused by the original dryness. Thus, the lutein has to some degree the benefits for the eyes health.
