Yeah, you can put the ice on your eyes when you have red eyes or dark circles, because you know the swelling comes together with the eye disorder, then the ice will help decrease swelling by constricting blood vessels and decreasing fluid accumulation, cooling and numbing the area as well. Apart from the red eyes and dark circles, the ice also will help you with the puffy eyes; for instance, you can take an ice cube wrapped in a small towel, and leave it over your eye for several minutes. Then pls do it more than once until your puffiness is less, which is useful for the tiredness of the eyes. Here as a friend, there are some warm warnings for you to avoid potential cold injury to the eyes or face; you had better pack the ice with towel in bar shape.

Putting ice directly on the thin, fragile skin of the eyelid with your eyeball directly underneath is a VERY bad idea. Seriously, you could permanently damage your eye doing that! But to an eye injury, cold applications to the structures around the eye may reduce pain and swelling due to injuries or some disease processes. However, before using a chemical ice pack out of the freezer, wrap it in a small wet towel so that a few layers of cloth are between the ice pack and the skin. Applying the chemical ice pack directly onto the closed eyelids could cause localized frostbite.

Of course, the cold compresses can treat many eye disorders such as red eyes, dark eyes and eye swelling, because ice will help reduce the swelling and constrict the blood vessels to deduce internal bleeding and further bruising. Take black eye for example, you can wrap ice cubes in a clean cotton or muslin cloth and hold it over the eye for about 10 minutes, repeat the process several times a day during the first 48 hours. This also will help relieve pain. Never use ice directly on the eyes and do not rub the ice pack on delicate skin like that around your eyes. Instead of ice, you can also use a packet of frozen vegetables.

Although we are told the method of putting the ice on the eyes to get the symptom of eye disorders, like the dark circles and red eyes, release a little, it is not good to keep it too long. Because the cold temperature on the eyes may stimulate the eye nerves, we'd better use it under the have-to-be situations.

Yes, you can utilize ice to relieve some eyes disorders as well. Because of ice is helpful for reducing swelling by constricting blood vessels, by decreasing fluid accumulation and by cooling and numbing the area.
