How soon can i exercise after cataract surgery?

  It takes one month at minimum. In the first week after the cataract surgery, any strenuous exercise is forbidden, such as swimming, playing football and basketball. But you can take exercise such as slow walk. Because of the wound could have high possibility to rupture again when you are doing strenuous exercise. At the same time, you should avoid add any pressure to your sick eye to prevent eye injury, such as touching and rubbing your eyes. And during the first month, you had better take more rest, don't lower your head, rough cough, and take any heavy activities. It's necessary to avoid any dirty water or soap water enters your eyes to avoid wound infection when you're washing your face or taking a shower.

  Usually, you will have at least one week for a rest after the cataract surgery. However, if you want to do the exercise, you'd better take at least two week's rest for the full recovery. In my own opinion, you'd better not do the fierce exercise any more which may hurt your eyes. If you have to keep on doing this, you must not do this within two weeks.
