How much does high index lenses cost? Are they expensive?

I have high myopia. And my eyeglasses lenses are thick. One of my friend suggest me buy high index lenses. I wonder how much high index lenses cost? Are the expensive ?

Usually the high index lenses are more expensive than the common ones. The price of the high index lenses are various, ranging from $15 to $ 100. However, you'd better choose the medium and high price one which will not seem too thick. The too thick lenses will make you look nerd. Thus, you'd better choose the expensive ones.
