Can i wear contact lenses if i have glaucoma?

I suffer from glaucoma and my eyesight is poor. Can i wear contact lenses? is it bad for my eyes?

Usually, it is not allowed, and I also want you do not wear contact lenses if you have glaucoma. Glaucoma refers to the intraocular pressure discontinuity or a rising eye disease. The continued high intraocular pressure can bring each part of the eye organization and visual function damage, if you are not treated, you may suffer the blindness. If you have glaucoma, you had better not wear contact glasses, because there is no efficient way to cure glaucoma. If you want to wear contact lenses, you should pay more attention to this problem. You should check whether you have some symptoms that do not allow you wear contact lenses. Under normal circumstance, suffering from acute conjunctivitis, dacryocystitis, corneal epithelium damage and glaucoma eyes are banned to wear contact lenses.

Absolutely not, it's harmful to your eyes. Glaucoma is an eye disorder that one's optic nerve is damaged and destroyed over time. It increases eye pressure as a result of drainage blockage. When you see an object, you need to use your eye muscle to focus on the object. When you are wearing contact lenses, you have to see object by utilizing your eye muscle. And the contact lenses need oxygen to make your eyes comfortable. The high eye pressure couldn't achieve that. It's dangerous to wear contact lenses when you have glaucoma.

I'd like to suggest you not wear contact when you got glaucoma especially had undergone some surgery. The filtering bleb will be abraded while the aqueous humor passage will be blocked. The eye drop which you used to heal the disease will corrode the contact lenses. The eye drop may also conflict with the contact lenses care solution; the lenses may affect the absorption of eye drops. These two could not coexist with each other, so why not insist to wear contacts when you got glaucoma?
