Well, since you are near-sighted, you mean you want to see things clear when swimming. But as you can see, you cannot wear normal glasses to swim right? So, my advice is that you wear contacts, if you can, and plus a pair of swimming glasses, in this way, everything will be ok, and you can enjoy swimming and clear things. Hope my advice is helpful.

As far as I know, you had better not go swimming with your glasses, because there are so many bacterium in the water, which is harmful for your eyes and your glasses. As a result of the fact, your eyes will be easily get infected. Of course, I say this not meaning that you can not go to swimming with vision aids. There are some ways that help you can realize your dream of swimming clearly. Now I will tell you to ways that can help you enjoy your swimming and also you can see clearly. I advice you can wear the contact lenses, then you can wear the swimming goggles which can protect your eyes and your contacts. Meanwhile, you can also buy the swimming goggles with your right prescription, if so, I believe you will have a nice time while swimming.

Yes of course you can wear glasses when swimming. I used to do that many times before. It is no problem that you wear a pair of prescription glasses to go swimming, it is just a little inconvenient that you always need to pay attention to your lenses which may become foggy after a while. In fact, you can order prescription swim goggles if you often swimming. You can wear an old pair of glasses when swimming, and hold them on with an elastic band if necessary. And don't forget to wash them with eyeglass cleaner or soapy water immediately after you finish swimming.

In a sense they can be, but not comfortable. However, you'd better not to. When you take the water activities, mostly you may meet collisions, so glasses may let you easily be into trouble. If it is so, you are nearsighted and then you should choose the swimming goggles which suit your prescription. If you want to buy those swimming goggles, the place of selling sports goods mostly are available. In addition, online shopping is also very easy to get myopia swimming goggles. So the question you say is not a problem. And lastly strongly suggest you don't wear glasses and go to buy a myopia swimming goggles.

It is not ok to wear glasses when swimming. You'd better to have a kind of special glasses which is for the nearsighted people when you are swimming. If you wear the framed glasses, your glasses are easily fallen off when you are in the water, this may cause some dangerous cases for your and the others. And when you are in the water wearing glasses, you may not see the things clearly. But you can try prescription swim goggle that are basically to use the steel reinforcement processing and polycarbonate and have the function of protecting water and fog. Wearing the kind of the myopia swim goggles can give you more interests and fun, and this can give your eyes better care.

Since you do not wear contact lenses, I recommend you to buy a pair of prescription swimming goggles which can solve your problem and protect your eyes well. These prescription swim goggles are specially designed for people who love swimming but have vision problems. Swimming goggles can protect your eyes from irritants, ailments and ultraviolet radiation. Besides, they are not expensive. To sum up, it is really a wonderful choice.

You'd better not wear the glasses when swimming for the two main reasons. First of all, it is not convenient to wear the glasses when swimming. The glasses are easy to be fallen down. Secondly, the water in swimming may damage the frame of the glasses because of the acidity. In your situation, you are suggested to wear the swimming goggles with prescription which may also help you see clearly in water.

wear your glasses, you can see clear with them but there is a risk of loosing them in the water and you cant find them. and the water may damage your frames/ hinges/ coating of the lenses in the long run.
