  A prism is a solid object that has the same cross section along the entire length of its shape. And prism in eyeglasses are used to help people for double vision, positional correction, or convergence correction. In fact, prism glasses can be very useful in dealing with eye misalignment. So, they are also used by people with lazy eye.

  Prism Eyeglasses are not exactly like normal glasses. They do not improve the vision of an eye or even both and you cannot count on it to help you see better from afar or even up close.There are some people whose eyes don't focus at only one point, one eye is looking somewhere while the other one is looking elsewhere and this condition is called Strabismus or Squint. A condition like this causes double vision.Prism glasses help bring the different points of focus of both eyes to a middle point by distorting the glasses.A prism can be defined as any physical object with its cross-section being the same along the entirety of its length,This prism is used in eyeglasses to correct symptoms of double vision, convergence correction or positional correction.

  The prism is a solid object with the same cross-section around its length of shape. In general, the prism is used for double vision, positional or convergence correction. And it works for a person who has almost normal vision of his/her level of nearsightedness or farsightedness. But one eye has obvious more or less reduced vision than that of the other one, or blindness. It is not suitable directly use prism lenses.
