Hypertension, also called high blood pressure, is associated with some eye problems, such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Hypertension can cause damages to blood vessels in the retina of the eye, thus lead to some other eye diseases. If you get high blood pressure, you should go to see a doctor to keep them under control. Otherwise they will cause some serious eye diseases.

As we know that a healthy body depends on the good cooperation and function of all organs. If you have hypertension, the high blood pressure is closely related with macular defects such as macular degeneration. So, the hypertension may damages blood vessels in the retina of the eyes because high blood pressure can disrupt this normal circulation. So, hypertension is likely to affect eye health.
