There are many factors that will increase the risk of eye diseases. For example, smoking will increase the risk of cataract and macular degeneration. Drinking too much alcohol a day can also increase the risk of cataract. If you don't wear sunglasses in a bright sunlight, the UV light will damage your eyes and cause cataract and macular degeneration.

To protect our eye, we should give up smoking and drink less alcohol because they will make us at a higher risk of cataract and macular degeneration. We should protect our eyes from harmful UV rays which will increase the risk of cataract and macular degeneration. Moreover, high blood pressure and cholesterol are bad for our eyes because they can easily cause macular degeneration.
