I have got a bloodshot eye for a week. What can I do?

  It depends on what causes your bloodshot eye. If your eye is hit by something, the blood vessel in your eye may be popped. In this case, you can treat it with some ice bag, it should go away by itself. If it doesn't work. you should go to see an doctor as soon as possible.

  If your bloodshot eye is caused by allergies, you can see a doctor who may be able to prescrible some special medications or eye drops to help get rid of the bloodshot eye. Hope this helps.

  If you bloodshot eye is not serious and you can tolerate it, you can rinse your bloodshot eye with warm water, which can remove irritants in your eye, and it can make your eye moist. After that, dry your eye gently with a clean cloth and drop artificial tears into your eye to keep them moist.

  Some contacts wearer can have bloodshot eyes if they get infected in the eyes. Some bloodshot eyes are caused by lack of sleep. You need to find out the real cause of bloodshot eyes.

  Do your eyes itch and keep tearing? If so, you are probably having pink eyes. It is better to see an doctor cuz we don't know the fully symptoms you are having.
