Do I need to pay for the lens fitting in eye exam?

I need a new prescription for my contacts.The cost for eye exam is $42 and the contact lens fitting is $40. I don't want to change my type of contact lenses, do I still need to pay for it?

That depends on you. If you don't need the fitting, then you can choose not to pay for it. If they insist on, you can leave there and go for another doctor.

It should depend on the doctor's office policy and normally you will be charged for the service you get. Before the exam, you should tell him that you don't need the lens fitting. If they insist on giving you the service you don't want then change for another doctor.
