Should I get a new exam for colored contacts?

I just had an eye exam and got some contacts from my doctor. But after I went home,my mother said I should get colored contacts.So should I get a new exam?

No, you don't need to get a new exam for colored contact lenses, cuz there is no difference in prescription between general contacts and colored contacts. Colored contacts are just like the lenses on the glasses tinted to different colors, colors have nothing to do with the prescription.

Since you had an eye exam not long ago, there is no necessary to get a new exam. But should take your prescription paper that you have had when you go to buy coloered contacts.
