Your prescription will ultimately determine how thick your lenses will be. The higher the prescription, the thicker the lens. If you have a strong power, you can buy lens with higher index.
Skip large frames. Aside from choosing frames based on factors like fashion or face shape, you should also choose them based on size, as well as your eye doctor’s recommendations. Usually the lens will be thicker on large frames.
The frame material matters as well. I have 2 pairs of glasses with the same prescription and same lens index. One of them is made of Tr and the other is metal. The lens on the metal frame is so much thicker, so I will not recommend metal frames if you are looking for thinner lens.
