What is the difference between computer glasses and regular glasses?

  The only difference between computer glasses and regular glasses is that they have different prescription. The prescription for computer is lower than that for regular glasses because the regular glasses are used for viewing distant while the computer glasses are used for monitor distance.

  computer glasses are almost the same as the regular glasses in the shape. The difference lays on the lenses. The prescription on the lenses of computer glasses reduce in power from your regular glasses prescription in order to focusing on the intermediate distance, especially for the computer screen. Most of computer glasses are with anti-refletion coating added which prevent your eyes from strain.

  computer glasses allow the wearer to easily focus on the distance of the computer screen. Regular reading glasses are only for near or far vision. The strength of computer glasses is weaker than your regular glasses.

  The most important difference lies on the distance. The regular glasses you wear don't really provide the accurate vision correction for the distances typical in computer work. In order to see clearly, many resort to the methods of leaning toward the screen or looking down through the bottom part of their lenses. Such mis-position in working usually lead to eyestrain, dry eyes, headaches and blurred visions. With computer glasses, because the powers are particularly adjusted for the computer vision distances, there is no need to adjust the sitting position in order to see. Also computer glasses can have anti-glare coating to resist the radiation , but you usually have to request this when you order them .
