My son gets shortsighted, I wanna to know if glasses with nose pads may affect the growth of nose bridge?

  The weight of the glasses rest on the nose bridge, so it can affect its growth, but you can choose light-weight frames and thinner thickness lenses for your son, and don’t wear glasses for long time.

  In my opinion, glasses will suppress the growth of nose bridge due to their weight , no matter they have nose pads or not. So you’d better choose light-weight frames to decrease the weight.

  If your child starts wearing glasses now, it will certainly affect growth of his nose bridge when he grows up, and it has nothing to do with whether the glasses with nose pads or not.
