Has anyone gone directly to wearing contact lenses without wearing glasses first?

  You can directly wear the contacts without wearing glasses first on condition that you are the right candidate for contacts .An eye exam is needed before wearing contacts because the doctor will check whether you are irritating to the contacts and the curvature of the cornea are suitable for wearing contacts . He will make sure your eyes are healthy and you don't have any problems with dry eyes and allergies. He also need to teach you how to put them in, take them out, clean them and take care of them for beginners .

  I know several people who have always worn contacts and never had glasses. One however, had to stop wearing his contacts because of overuse of his lenses and had a problem getting used to wearing glasses all the time after years of wearing contact lenses. He eventually found that no one cared that he wore glasses and found he liked wearing glasses better than he did contacts.

  Yes you can. But you need to get an eye exam for contacts and lens fitting first to make sure there won't be any problem to wear contacts.
