Both frame glasses and contact lens have their pros and cons. Frame glasses require little cleaning and maintenance, you don't need to touch your eyes to wear them. Besides, they can adjust the amount of light entering your eye for optimum comfort and vision. However, contacts can sit directly on your eye, thus the peripheral vision is unobstructed. You can participate in sports and outdoor activities without fear of eyeglasses falling off or breaking. Whether you choose to wear frame glasses or contact lens, it should depend on your personal preferences and needs.
I think frame glasses are so much more convenient, especially when you are rush to get out. You can just grab the pair and ready to go. However, for contact lenses, you have to wash your hands and gently put them into your eyes, which could waste plenty of time.
Contact lens may put you at a much greater risk of infection and eye-damage. If you wear contacts for more than 8 hours, your eyes will become very dry. Worst still, you may get red eye and vision loss after a few months.
You don’t have to choose frame glasses. It’s important to note that choosing one over the other may not necessarily be the only option. Both contacts and eyeglasses can be used for different circumstances as they best suit your daily activities.
Well, for frame glasses, you can wear them for a year at least if your prescription has not been changed or the frame doesn’t break. However, normally you need to renew contact lens monthly, even weekly, which could be much more expensive.
To be honest, I prefer contact lenses. For example, if you walk in the rain with a frame pair, what will happen? But you don’t need to worry about this kind of situation with contacts. It’s more convenient for daily life.
