Does retinal detachment happen in both eyes?

  Like a piece of wallpaper peeling off from a damp wall, retina will separate itself from the back of the inside of the eye. Under such circumstances, a retinal detachment happens. But in order to work properly, the retina should attach to the back of the eye. If you suffer from a lot of eye floaters in your vision suddenly, you need to see an eye doctor for lots of eye floaters can be a sign of retinal detachment.

  I think retinal detachment can happen in both eyes. But retinal detachment is rare. The people who are between 60 to 70 years old are at a higher risk to suffer from such kind of disease. But the people who are only 16 years old may suffer from a retinal detachment too. So we should have our eyes checked by an eye doctor every year to prevent some eye disease from happening.

  When the retina is separated from its underlying supportive tissue, you may suffer from a retinal detachment. And the retina can't function as well as it did before. The retina detachment is a serious and sight threatening problem, so we must treat it seriously and carefully. It may happen in one eye or in both eyes. Nowadays, the lasik eye surgery can treat with retina detachment only if you are a good candidate for this kind of surgery.

  Once my doctor told me that when the retina went away from the supportive tissues it should be attached to, we may suffer from a retinal detachment. This kind of disorder is called retinal detachment. There are initial detachment and entire detachment of the retina. If we treat the initial detachment timely and quickly, we may not suffer from further vision problems such as vision loss or blindness. Of course it can happen it both eyes.

  Retinal detachment may happen in both eyes. If there are lots of floaters in your vision, a shadow in peripheral vision or a dark gray curtain moves across field of vision, you may suffer from retinal detachment and need to see an eye doctor immediately. These symptoms suggest that the retina is separating itself from its underlying tissues.

  Retinal detachment means there is a tear or hole in the retina. And then water in our eyes will leak behind the retina. Later water will lift the retina off the inside of the back of your eye slowly. The people who suffer from an eye injury or short sightedness are at a higher risk of getting a retinal detachment.

  Retinal detachment is a disorder of the eye in which the retina peels away from its underlying layer of support tissue.Retinal detachment does not happen as a result of straining your eyes, bending or heavy lifting. If you do experience symptoms of flashes and floaters and the eye clinic detects a hole or tear in your retina then this may be treated to reduce the risk of a retinal detachment developing.
