Is it bad to wear reading glasses when you're not reading?

I'm getting my reading glasses tomorrow, so I was curious if it was bad to wear my glasses when I wasn't reading far away (I'm good reading up close). Could it damage my eyes or something? P.S. Don't make fun of me just 'cuz they're called reading glasses. I might wear them all of the time if they're fine to wear when not reading.

I'm confused about what you have said. Like you said, you are good reading up close, so your glasses are just used for distance. But what we called reading glasses are just for close up reading. Those glasses used for distance vision shouldn't be called reading glasses though they help you read things far away. So I think what you need is regular glasses and you can wear them all of the time.

It doesn't matter to wear your reading glasses when you are not reading as long as the eyeglasses are special made to fit for your eye prescription. In fact, there are lots of people have do this. As you can see, there are lots of people who wearing their eyeglasses a whole no matter for far vision or near vision. But in fact, he/she just only suffer nearsightedness( difficult to see far) or farsightedness (difficult to see near). So, Just go ahead.
