  Pink eye can be caused by: bacteria, viruses, allergies, a foreign object in the eye, a chemical splash in the eye, in newborns, a blocked tear duct. I know there are two kinds of pink eye. One is contagious pink eye. The other is non contagious pink eye. I suggest you to have your eyes checked by an eye doctor first and then ask for appropriate treatment.

  Pink eye may have the following Symptoms: Redness in the inner eyelid or the white of the eye, watery eyes, itchy eyes, thick yellow discharge, white or green discharges, burning eyes, blurred vision and sensitivity to light. If your pink eye is caused by bacteria, you may have to treat it with antibiotics, ointments, or pills. If your pink eye is caused by viruses, you need to see an eye doctor immediately for viral conjunctivitis can be highly contagious, and you should also avoid contact with others.
